Highest raking Latino is a Lt. With a high tax rate they should have a better showing. Not much
effort for the Latino community.

In response to your letter dated July 5, 2005 I have enclosed a Gender / Race Profile report, Which
contains census
information with regard to Latinos for each rank within the Sunrise Police Department.
Currently, we do not have a Hispanic Liaison officer assigned to the agency; however, we do have
communications personnel that speak fluent Spanish.
At this time the Sunrise Police Department does not provide citizen victim brochures in Spanish,
nor do we
provide Spanish translation on the City's website.
