Pursuant to the report the Pembroke Pines Police dept ranks with a (C) FOR THE FOLLOWING
REASONS:
1. The Latino community has grown very much since the 2000 census report and they fall short if that
view.
2. No effort to recruit Latinos is being made
3. We were unable to find any translation on the Police web-site

We see great growth from Pembroke Pines Police in the future.....

There are five(5) questions in the enclosed Public Records Request; each is addressed in numerical
order.

2000 U.S. Census Labor Availability vs. Actual Employee Race/Ethnicity.  The request makes no
differentiation between genders, and does not acknowledge that Census figures do not break out

There is one (1) Hispanic/Latino Public Information Officer within the Agency.

There are five (5) Spanish-speaking Dispatch personnel; we do not operate a -911 Call Center.  
Spanish –
speaking Officers are available for translation purposes where needed for any situation or incident.

The Citizens’ Victim Brochure is printed in English, Spanish, and Creole.      

Spanish translation is available on-site through various mediums.
