2006 Statistics Palm Bay Police Department
1. Budget for FY 06/07 - $20,889,407.00 The following answers are
provided for sworn personnel only:
2. In 2006, we hired four (4) Hispanic officers.
3. No Latinos were promoted during 2006.
4. There are no Latino officers serving at a command level at
present.
5. Human Resources includes the local Latin association on it’s
mailing list for posted job opportunities regularly.
6. We participated in no Latino recruiting events, exclusively, last year
however we offer “Meet the Chief” opportunities regularly which all
interested persons are invited to attend to learn about a career in law
enforcement.
7. Ethnic population for sworn officers at the end of 2006: 158 total
sworn officers employed 1 Latino sergeant included in 16 Latino officers
employed (10.13%) 2 Black sergeants included in 8 black officers
employed. 1 Asian officer 1 Pacific Islander officer
