02.06.2006: Once again we visit the idiotic world of Miami Dade Corrections.
Management now has begun the force overtime policy, forcing Officers to work
beyond their tour of duty regardless of their psychical condition at the time.
If we look back at the history of Miami Dade Corrections, we will find that once long
ago we had a similar retarded policy. During this epic time it was so bad that the
County Commission had to step in. Sadly the Commissioners ruling went by the
waste side a decade later. The Late Arthur E. Teele, Jr was the chairman of the
commission at the time and ruled that force overtime in a non-emergency was not to
be done. So much for the legislative process in Miami Dade.
Enclosing, before something happens, lets look at all the elements in Miami Dade
Corrections, which are not force to work overtime at the pleasure of the department.
Booking, courts, transportation, assigned sworn personnel at headquarters, house
arrest, boot camp, K-9, and many others. If we want to be fair be fair.
Because of the gross mismanagement in staffing level and nepotism, it’s always the
little guy that pays the price. So while we are being brutally honest in our easement of
Corrections lets ponder this: "Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit
before a fall". Pr 16:16
