Homestead Police Department currently has 89 F/T Sworn Police Officers and 27 Reserve Police
Officers with
the following Latinos

1. Captain

10 Detectives

12 Officers

11 Reserve Officers

2. We do not have a Sworn Hispanic liaison officer assigned to the Homestead Police Department. We
utilize
a civilian employee, who is Hispanic.

3. The Homestead Police Department does not maintain a 911- communication line. This is transmitted
through Miami Dade County Communications.

4. The Homestead Police Department is very sensitive to needs of our community and attempts to
provide all
information in English, Spanish, and Creole.

5. The Homestead Police Department has a website but is not available in Spanish.
