We have no Hispanic Liaison Officer assigned to this agency.
Broward Sheriffs Office runs our communications center and there is a language line that
accommodates the Spanish language.
FLPD has 3 Spanish speaking emergency operators.

The agency budget for 2006 was $ 88,349,270.00
FLPD hired 20 Latinos in 2006.
In 2006 FLPD promoted 3 Latinos and all were to the rank of Sergeant.
In 2006 FLPD hired 10 Latinos to attend the police academy.
Yes, we received Federal funding in 2006.
As a side note I would have to say at least 50% of our applicants are Hispanic. We have also
