Central Region Representative: Cpl. Jose H. Irizarry (Mount Dora Police):  It is with great pride that I serve as Chairman for the LOA-FLA. I began my career as a law enforcement officer for the City of Mount Dora. While serving as a police officer I have gained valuable experience that has allowed me to serve the people of the city and the State of Florida with pride and integrity. While serving as a law enforcement officer I earned a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Administration and attended numerous training classes, so that my experience, leadership, and education can come together to move the LOA-FLA into the 21st Century. My educational background earned me a position as a police corporal where I continue to serve. I then wanted to give more to the community so, I enrolled in graduate school in the Spring of 2007 and graduated with a masters degree in Legal Studies in the Spring of 2009. I also have a minor in Homeland Security.  I take the knowledge that I have acquired and the skills that I have learned and use it to serve on the board of the LOA-FLA. I take great pride in being a positive Latino role model for the Latino youth and community. Along with the support of my wife and daughter and faith in God I will guide us into a better 21st Century for the LOA-FLA and Latino community. central@loafla.org
