The Latino Officers Association Florida has three (3) regions, six (6) districts and one objective to better serve the membership. The following is a listing of each sector and the area they cover.
Gulf
Regional Director & Chair : Dep. Angel Quiepo (Lee Sheriffs Office):
Serving the Gulf coast counties of Florida from Collier to Citrus Counties the area is among one of the biggest in Florida. Regional Director Angel Quiepo is a 20-year veteran of law enforcement currently serving with the Lee County Sheriff's Office. The region is rich with Business support for the LOA-FLA. The region is the fastest growing area in Florida.
South
Regional Director: Ofc. Raul Fernandez (Miami Gardens Police) Serving the South Florida area, counties from Martin to Monroe Counties this sector is rich with Latino membership. Raul Fernandez is a 20-year veteran of law enforcement with outstanding credentials. The South region is known as the base of the LOA-FLA. This region is home to the founding charter from Miami Dade.
Central
Regional Director: Det. Ed Martinez (NYPD Retired) Serving the Center and northern part of the State this is the biggest region for the LOA-FLA. Ed Martinez a retired Homicide Detective of the NYPD and former Vice Mayor of Winter Springs Florida is the Regional Director. This region is rich with our Political commitments to better serve the membership and the Latino Community.
Chapters
Miami Dade Chapter: Director Tosca Cotton. This Chapter has the distention of being the founder of the Latino Officers Association Florida. The Association emerged from a group of Officers from Miami Dade in August 2002. Today this chapter is the largest in the LOA-FLA.
Tampa Bay District: Jorge Silva (HCSO) Tampa. The Tampa Bay region is rich with Florida history. This district is the home of the Tampa Bay Charter. Under the leadership of LOA-FLA Representive Jorge Silva this sector will no doubt be a leading component of the LOA-FLA for many years.
North Central District: Norberto Gonzalez (Mount Dora Police) This Florida region is rich with young Latino Officers. Under the leadership of Norberto Gonzalez, a young powerful influential Latino, this district has a bright future.
Southwest: Manny Ynestroza (Naples Retired) The fastest growing area in Florida, this district under the leadership of retired Naples and Miami Officer Manny Ynestroza has a solid future.
Palm Beach: Wilson Santiago (P.B. Sheriffs Office)
One of the riches and influential areas in Florida. Wilson Santiago serves as a powerful supervisor not only in his agency but also in this LOA-FLA district.
Broward: Al Rodriguez (B.S.O.) One of the tough area in Florida, this district is served by Sgt Al Rodriguez a hard nose guy the talks the talk and walks the walk. Broward is the sleeping giant in the LOA-FLA.
Lee: Joe Andujar: Lee County Sheriff's Office. The fastest growing Latino area in Florida, this district is served by Deputy Joe Andjuar a retired NYPD Police Officer.
St. Lucie: Wagner Leite: (St Lucie Police Dept ) the newest area of LOA-FLA expansion. Wagner Leitie is a 20 year vet of Law Enforcement which is overseeing our growth in the area.
Statewide retired council: Jaime Gonzalez (OCSO) Joe Sanchez Former NYPD seeing a need to create a section for the ever-growing retirement community. The LOA-FLA created the Retired Council. The At Large Members serving the LOA-FLA element are to law enforcement heroes in their own right.
