| P.O. Ramon Suarez Award: Is bestowed to any Florida law enforcement member hurt or killed in the line of duty. These action demonstrates bravery, heroism, and integrity, and embrace the core values of our organizational mission. Officer Suarez was killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks while attempting to rescue the victims trapped in the World Trade Center. Officer Suarez was last seen re-entering the North Tower after he and another officer rescued a woman who couldn't walk.
